Chaplain’s Report:
Commander Denmead, Fellow Officers and AMVETS family.
I am blessed so far this month with being able to attend the Brockton V.A. dinner and the Passion Plunge for Special Olympics both at Post #79. Donations are still being accepted on or before March 1st. It would be “God Luvin” if we could hit above the seven grand mark!. I attended the national district one meetings in Sturbridge to support our department and see what it’s all about . FANTASTIC TIME. What a great bunch of guys and dolls!!! I’m so blessed to have a great bunch of teachers and coaches. Even though my first name is Robert, I’m still a bit of a knuckle head when it comes to parliamentary law. As sure as there is a God, I have faith! all of you will help pull me through!. As a way to better sever our veterans in hospitals our State Commander Denmead has ordered a state wide clover drive. This is a product of his mission statement “community and unity” filtered through our monthly family meetings. The three target sites are Fall river, Chicopee and Framingham. It would be great if we could add North Shore and Cape Cod sites as well. I’m working with Al Temple on trying to secure our Temple St. Stop & Shop in Framingham as our ground zero for Sat. & Sun. Feb. 26th & 27th Please contact State Commander D or 2nd Vice Furtato for the Fall river area and 3rd Vice Peacey or Madam President Peacey for the Chicopee area. C’mon guys and dolls!… lets light up this state with white clovers!!! More info to follow Via the one… the only… Leon “web master” Proctor!. I will be meeting with Comm. D during the Feb. 22nd Convention Corp. meeting at Post #79 Natick to acquire the clovers. Dates, times and location info TBA. The Commander really wants to move on this so lets get it done!
I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the upcoming Commander’s Testimonial and the March SEC.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Isaiah 2:2,3
For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our King; he will save us.
Isaiah 33:22

Web Site Report-Leon Proctor
The website is doing great. The beginning of the year looks real good with 14,273 hits just for the first 24 days of the month.. People have really been doing a lot of reading on the site with 6,646 pages read.
The information has been coming in at a steady pace so there is always something new on the site.
I am glad to see more Post are starting to use the site to post their events and their meetings. It is always good to see another Post using the site to get their information out to everyone. The Officers reports are also on the web so if you miss an SEC Meeting you can get the reports online.
A lot of the forms that you use are also on the web site along with the applications for the Department Scholarships.
I have been getting some information from Harry Neal, the National Membership Director, containg information on membership. Take a look at this information and it may give some ideas on how to recruit new members and retain your current members.
Beryl Love the National Program Director has been sending me the Program Blast from the national headquarters and it always ends up online so take a peek at that too.
I want to thank everyone for sending me information and ask you to keep up the good work, I try to get as much on the site as I can, ssme stuff I send out through my personal e-mail as it may be to political to send out through the website after all we are supposed to be apolitical and not take sides.

Chelsea Soldiers Home -Tom GlennCommander Denmead, fellow AMVETS,AMVETS continues the "Mission" of seeing that our Veterans' are well cared for at Chelsea Soldier's Home; monthly bingo parties and weekly "coffees" are on-going. Valentine's day we held a great party for the veterans' with joint sponsorship of AMVETS Post 32 and the Post 32 Ladies Auxiliary, also contributing was the MA Department of AMVETS, Service Foundation with their financial aid. We serviced some 65 clients along with family and friends, many gifts were presented, including "T-shirts," valentine cards and other items. The veterans' and their families were very pleased and thankful; I was informed that when the clients know it is an AMVETS sponsored affair the turn-out is always large, as they know it will be a good time. On Thursday, 3/1/12, we will sponsor and off-station luncheon at the Continental Restaurant, 11:30 AM, located on Rte. 1 in Saugus, MA.Mr. Commander, this concludes my report.Thomas A.
