USO Care Package and Food Pantry Lists:
I had a nice discussion with some troops and this is some of their suggestions;
Okay care package items: Small sizes (individual)
Baby Powder and Foot Powder
Socks (white)
Lip balm, and Sun screen lotions
Beef jerky
Pringles
Hard candy
DVD's: comedy and adventure’s.
Toothpaste, razors and toothbrushes
Dental Floss and toothpicks
Soap and shampoo
Tissues: (paper) and hanky's (fabric)
Cards, paper pads, and pencils and pens
International Phone cards, (300 minutes)
NO ALCOHOL/Drugs
Food Pantry items:
Can goods: Corn, green beans, beans, beef stew, spaghetti, fruits etc.
Juices: apple, fruit juice, grape, orange, etc.
Boxed Juices,
Water bottles 12oz.
Pastas: (all kinds)
Sauces: tomato, ragu, dice tomatoes, tomato paste, etc.
Salad dressing:
Cake mixes and frosting mix:
Brownie mixes:
Tuna fish:
Dry cereal: Corn flakes, Rice and Wheat Checs, Special K., Oatmeal
Just about anything that you would enjoy the troop also enjoy:

Here is some new information about the USO facility at Westover Air Reserve Base.
Address: Pioneer Valley USO, 100 Walker Ave., Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, Ma. 01022. The Executive Directors name is Allan Tracy and his Email address is tracybrothers@verizon.net. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 8am to 12 noon. Tuesday thru Thursday the Food pantry and Office is open until 4pm. Monday evenings the USO is open 4pm to 7pm serving dinner to military personnel for no cost. There is a $5.00 charge for the volunteers and children eat free. They are currently low on canned Corn, green beans, pineapple, and fruit cocktail. Allan had a discussion with some of the troops about USO Care Packages and the following is what they suggested:

FOOD PANTY ITEMS: juices: apple, fruit juice, grape, orange, etc., boxed juices, water bottles (12oz), pastas (all kinds), sauces: tomato, ragu, dice tomatoes, tomato paste, etc., salad dressings, cake mixes and frosting mix, brownie mixes, tuna fish, dry cereal: corn flakes, rice and wheat checks, special K, oatmeal.
